Big Things!

So Tauro Photography is up and running with new clients and events booked already, who ever knew that this could be so much fun and could progress so quickly!  I always enjoyed photography as a passion and would  tell my husband, "when I retire I would love to travel and take pictures".  Of course being the supportive husband that he is he encouraged me to start sooner and to test the waters so to speak.  When we found out that our best friends were engaged and that they were planning their upcoming wedding in less than a year I was more than thrilled when they asked me to capture their special day for them.  As their wedding date drew closer I started to get more and more excited (and maybe a little nervous as well) because I knew how important an event this was going to be and wanted to make sure that I exceeded their expectations!  We made our way down to New Jersey the friday before their wedding with all of our good friends and couldn't wait for the Alaimo wedding; Tony and Nikki are perfect for each other and we knew that their big day was going to be perfect for them.  Of course, the night before the wedding I had an extremely difficult time sleeping because I was just so excited and happened to be running through lists of what I wanted to do and the pictures I wanted to take; my only worry was the weather.  July 10th was finally here and the morning weather forecasts weren't looking good at all, they actually said at one point that there could be "torrential downpours" throughout the day; this is where the panic set in.  Luckily I had my husband there to second shoot for me as well as keep me calm as we headed to the place of the ceremony and reception.  It rained a little bit while the bride was having her hair done and then the weather cleared into a beautiful but muggy July day.  We were still able to get the shots that we wanted as well as take their pictures at the beach nearby with the waves crashing against the shoreline from the storm.  All in all my husband and I shot close to 2,000 images for our first event together and we couldn't have been happier with the way the images turned out.  Thank you Tony and Nikki for giving us this great opportuinty to grow and develop our own photography business as this was what finally made us realize that we wanted to explore this new beginning!  So check out our new website at http://www.amandataurophotography.com/ as well as on facebook (Tauro Photography) and send us an email with any inquries!
